Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake Recipe

I got this recipe from Amy Huntley over at The Idea Room. This was my first making poppy seed cake and I have to say it turned out pretty good (for my first time).

Here are the ingredients:

    Ingredients

    1 yellow cake mix

    4 eggs

    1/2 cup water

    1/2 cup melted butter

    1 small box of vanilla pudding mix powder

    1 cup sour cream

    1 tsp. lemon extract or rum flavoring {I used lemon}

    1 tbsp. poppy seeds

This was surprisingly easy to make and fun!

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Start with mixing the eggs then add cake mix, water, and butter. Add the rest of the ingredients then continue to mix for about 5 min. Then pour into pan…

{While I was mixing the cake mix I wasn’t sure if it was all going to fit in… lol! It seemed to be overflowing but nope it all got in.}

Make sure to grease and flour bundt pan before adding mix. I used {pam}baking spray which has flour in it apparently.

Bake for about 40-45 min. (I did 45 min but it could have been left in for another 5min, so I guess its based on your oven).

It was so moist! I should have left it in the oven a little longer but it worked. It was delicious with ice cream or coffee or tea or just simply by itself.
