My Faith Endures

As we continue the process of fostering, I can’t help but to still long for the “the experience”. In preparing for fostering and going through the motions of bringing a child {or children} in our home, I find that a lot of times I forget about the pain of wanting to conceive.

Then something occurs and it’s amazing that in an instant when I feel I forgot, when I feel I am at peace, when I feel I’m just waiting and trusting God while moving forward on this new journey of life… in the flicker of an eye. Every emotion of pain overwhelms me when I remember how we got to this moment, or the announcement of yet another family/friend pregnancy, or the moment when I realize that “my period is late, this hasn’t happened in a while”.

Family members mean well but their comments often come off more hurtful than helpful. But what do you expect for people that never experienced what your going through or the feelings that come with it.

But yet I still believe that God has not forgotten me. I have to believe that through all this emotional pain and suffering that the rewards He have for me, for us are GREAT! His plans are so much bigger and better than mine and even if I don’t understand I choose to trust God Almighty and know that He IS Faithful. I choose to look at the blessings that are in front of me and I STILL believe that He will be faithful and open my womb for conception to give birth to healthy, beautiful children.
When going through my “emotional panics”, I often have to run into God’s arms. Here are some scriptures that I have been running to that God have been using to comfort me.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29: 11(NIV)

” Why are you in despair, O my soul?
And why have you become disturbed within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.” Psalm 42:11 (NASB)

“I wait for the Lord , my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope.” Psalm 130:5 (NASB)

“Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.”
Psalm 37:4-8 (Esv)

So I hope these scriptures give you hope in your journey and whatever your waiting for in Christ that you stay filled with hope, trusting that He IS a faithful God and He has not forgotten you.

God bless,
India 🙂
